Mercredi 9 Janvier - Une journée pleine de soleil

Ce matin, nous avons mangé le petit déjeuner à 9.30. Puis nous avons eu une matinée libre! Quelques étudiants ont fait du shopping et ont marché autour de la ville. D'autres étudiants ont choisi de dormir pour un peu de temps. Cet après-midi, nous avons visité le Comité Départemental du Tourisme du Finistère. Des choses que nous avons apprises sont le "background" des types de personnes qui visitent la Bretagne, les choses que la région Bretagne fait pour attirer les gens ici, et nous avons vu des jolies photographies des endroits autour du Finistère. Avant de retourner à l'hôtel, on a visité l'église la plus vieille de Quimper. C'est de l'architecture Romane et c'était commencé à être construit au 9ème siècle. Quand c'était fini, Mlle Feat nous a accompagné pour une belle promenade à travers la ville. Nous sommes prêts pour la plage demain!

This morning we ate breakfast at 9:30. Then we had a free morning! Some students went shopping and some walked around the city. Some of the other students decided to sleep for a little while. This afternoon we visited the Department of Tourism in Finistère. Some things we learned were the background of the kinds of people who visit Brittany, the things they do to attract people here, and we saw pretty pictures of some places other than Finistère. Before the return to the hotel, we visited the oldest church in Quimper. It has Roman architecture, and started being constructed in the ninth century. When we were finished, Mlle Feat accompanied us for a beautiful was across the city. We are ready for the beach tomorrow!
